3 Aeroplan Miles are earned on card purchases less returns, and not on cash advances, interest, fees, balance transfers, payments or regular CIBC Convenience Cheques. Aeroplan Miles may be cancelled if your CIBC Aero Classic Visa Card is not in good standing on the monthly statement date. Aeroplan Miles are not actual miles but points that can be exchanged for flight rewards, as well as over 400 other products or services rewards, such as hotel stays, electronics, sports equipment and spa packages. Taxes, landing and departure fees and other charges and surcharges may apply to Aeroplan reward travel. Aeroplan partners, rules and regulations are subject to change without notice.

5 Aeroplan rules require at least one accumulation or redemption transaction every 12 months in an Aeroplan account or the Aeroplan Miles will expire. CIBC has ensured that this doesn't happen to the one Aeroplan account which is connected to a CIBC Aerogold Visa, Aerogold Visa Infinite, Aerogold Visa Card for Small Business or Aero Classic Visa Account and which receives all Aeroplan Miles earned by all Cardholders on that Visa/Visa Infinite Account, provided the Account is in good standing. However: Aeroplan Miles will expire unless redeemed within 7 years from when they were earned (or on Dec. 31, 2013, for Miles earned before 2007). See www.aeroplan.com for details.
6 Common carrier fares must be charged to the card before departure to activate coverage. $100,000 Common Carrier Accident Insurance is available only to the Primary Cardholder and his/her spouse and dependent children; coverage is up to $100,000. All insurances are underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Company of Canada and are subject to limitations and exclusions outlined in the insurance certificates distributed with the Card Package.
7 Personalized CIBC Convenience Cheques can be ordered by calling a CIBC Credit Card Services Representative. Convenience Cheques are treated as cash advances. Convenience Cheques bear interest from the date they are posted to your credit card account. Cheques cannot be used for payments on or balance transfers from other CIBC credit cards, Personal Lines of Credit, Loans and Mortgages.Convenience Cheques cannot be certified.
